Historischer Gasthof Rothenkrug in Dannewerk

There is one star for good food. Unfortunately, more stars would not be justified. The hosts are just rude and overwhelmed. It was a very busy jug through the clubs and guilds. All of them scared them off with their very insolent and unprofessional nature. With the previous owners we loved to dance with our club. We were forced and suddenly just kicked out just before the start of the lesson.

Sufficient parking spaces and good home-style cooking at reasonable prices. Again any time.

Unfriendly service, open comments were given away from the guests. Plastic wrap in the salad, there was no excuse, it can happen. The piece of foil landed next to our table on the floor. Not bad, the guest room was not clean anyway. My lamb was greasy as I rarely saw it ... However, this is exactly the quality that makes a lamb chop. Mei Tip: Avoid visiting this place.

Don't go here with a dog. Despite there being no sign on the door we were told that they don't accept dogs.

Impossible service !! We were cycling at 35 degrees and looking forward to a break. The garden was empty except for another cyclist, no service far and wide. In search of the service, I went to the interior of the inn. After a few shouts, a grumbling man came and complained because I had dared to enter the inn from the garden without having rung the bell. When we then after the drinks and food inquired, we got as an answer, that would probably everything on the map (but only on a side table, but not with us and we overlooked had.). After ordering and payment, I asked the waiter if I could fill up my water bottle, which answered only briefly with "yes" and went straight back. No sentence where I could do that. I then went into the outdated toilet and refilled my bottle at the tiny sink. When I looked in the mirror, behind me was a woman (presumably the wife of the service) and stared at me with a malicious look. When I asked her if there was anything, she said, "You know, you have to ask for it," when I replied that I had asked, she just repeated her sentence. At some point her husband grumbled out of the laundry room (or whatever) "let it be, Else (I do not remember the name)". IMPOSSIBLE,!. The opposite of good service. Never again Gasthof Rothenkrug!

Just bad

We just wanted to "eat fast". And it was worth it: the food was fresh and it was really big portions. It tasted absolutely delicious. The other reviews are not very understandable for me. We were really satisfied. We like to come back.

The ambiance is certainly not up to date, but our two dishes (schnitzel with fried potatoes and farm breakfast) were delicious. For breakfast farmers there was a soup for lunch as a starter and ice cream for dessert. And that for € 8.90, because you can not complain. Overall, we can recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of guests, ready-made products are often used. What a shame. And unfortunately too expensive for the quality of the food. Not recommendable

Not recommendable! As cyclists at over 30 degrees in the shade, we wanted to refresh ourselves with coffee and spritzer. But after ordering I was asked what I could think of to fill up my water bottle without asking. At my incredulous look, the abuse only got worse. Service thoughts have probably not vanished here ...

Carelessly arranged and overpriced for the quality of the dishes ordered (lamb chops or plaice). Too bad.

Authentic and good solid food in fine portions. Clean and neat - speaks good German and not much else.
